Holiday on offer african american wigs in charity auction

FUNDRAISING APPEAL: A week-long holiday for two in southern Spain is up for grabs as part of a mayor’s appeal to raise money for cancer charities.
Hartlepool’s ceremonial; Mayor Stephen Akers Belcher is organising the charity draw which will be drawn during his “Benidorm” fundraising night at Seaton Social Club on Friday. (November 29).
The first prize, which includes flights, has been donated by Hartlepool firm Gus Robinson Developments. Other prizes include a round of golf for four and whisky.
Tickets cost £1 with all the money going to MacMillan Cancer Support, the Pansies Breast Cancer Support Group and the Denise Taylor Cancer Trust.

CHARITY HEADSHAVE: A woman is undergoing a headshave in memory of a friend’s grandparents this week.

The proceeds from Jessica Shepherd’s sponsored event will go to Stand Up To Cancer for Cancer Research and her full head of hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which makes real hair African American Wigs for children suffering hair loss.
The event is at Lazanby Social Club, High Street, Lazenby, Middlesbrough, on Saturday (November 30) from 7pm. Local reggae band The Equalisers will play at the event, which is in memory of Miss Shepherd’s friend Penelope Thrower’s grandparents, who both died of cancer.
