Associates of the P.A. section of Grandmas for Grandmas have used their art abilities to make a range of personalized “AIDS angels” created from wood created pegs and discarded components.
The members strategy to offer the angels at the Riverside Craft and Prepare Selling, which occurs on Weekend, Nov. 30 at Riverside Group Community University.

“Various categories of grandmother across the nation are developing these angels and promoting them, and we got our concept from the Glacier Grannies in B.C.,” fundraising events co-ordinator Alma Newman said.

“We have a buddy who used to stay here who is now a participant of that team, and she sent me a number of these angels. We mentioned it at the conference and created the decision it was something we would appreciate doing, so the team created the decision and we believed we’ll offer them and we’ll make them ourselves.”
Throughout Thursday at St. Alban’s Church, roughly a number of associates could be seen busily developing angels using contributed materials and components.

“We have a design, we cut out the outfit and the scarf and the go and make outfits,” Newman said. “So you have got all the individuals here doing all the various factors.
“It’s like a manufacturer — an angel-making manufacturer.”
The Grandmas to Grandmas strategy started in 2006 under the outdoor umbrella of the Stephen Lewis Base and now has 240 sections across North america.
Each angel symbolizes a kid who has passed away from AIDS in sub-Saharan African-american.
